Sick and Vacation Time
To check your balance of sick and vacation leave accrued, visit your Gusto account and click “Time Off” located on the left-hand side menu. If you have any questions concerning the numbers presented, please contact The Corporate Team.
VACATION TIME
All Vacation time must be requested through your manager a minimum of two weeks prior to the requested date. Once approved, they will mark your office’s Sick and Vacation Time calendar to hold those dates.
We are now rewarding long term employees with additional vacation time. If you stick around long enough, this will apply to you! Every employee currently has 80 hours of vacation available to them for each year they work. Under the following milestones, your vacation will be as follows:
- Up to 5 years of service: 80 hours of vacation per year
- 5 to 10 years of service: 120 hours of vacation per year
- 10 or more years of service: 160 hours of vacation per year
We highly recommend you start planning your vacations early; they are booked on a first come, first served basis, and vacation time is on a "use it or lose it" basis. Only the amount of hours of vacation time you earn per year will be eligible for rollover on the last payroll date December. Any accrued hours in excess of this will be lost.
Example, Emily earns 120 hours of vacation per year. At the end of the year she has 130 hours saved. Only 120 of those hours will role over to the next year.
SICK TIME
Similarly to Paid-Time-Off, all full-time employee’s Sick Time will be accrued as hours are worked with the company. When using Sick Time, please notify your managers as soon as possible so they are able to make adjustments amongst the staff and tackle projects accordingly. They will then mark the calendar notifying the remaining teams that you are out for the day. Sick time accrual varies from state to state, see your local employee handbook for more information.
